Hong Kong Public Holidays 2027

General holidays vs statutory holidays
Hong Kong has two lists. The 17 general holidays (bank holidays) apply to banks, schools and government offices. The statutory holidays under the Employment Ordinance, which every employee is entitled to, are fewer — the Labour Department publishes them separately. Easter, the day after Good Friday and Christmas-related days are general holidays but not all are statutory.
Note that Mid-Autumn is celebrated on the evening of the festival itself (15 September in 2027), and the public holiday is the day after.
