Notes on the 2027 list
- Chinese New Year: 6 February (Saturday) and 7 February (Sunday). Under the Holidays Act, a public holiday that falls on a Sunday is replaced by the next Monday, so 8 February is a day off.
- Saturday holidays: Labour Day (1 May) and Christmas Day (25 December) fall on Saturdays. There is no replacement weekday for Saturday holidays, although many employers give time off in lieu.
- Hari Raya Puasa on 10 March and Hari Raya Haji on 17 May follow the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore's dates, a day after the Umm al-Qura dates used in Saudi Arabia.
- Deepavali is on 28 October, one day before the main Diwali night in North India.
Long weekends in Singapore 2027
Several holidays fall next to a weekend: New Year's Day (Friday), Chinese New Year (Saturday–Monday), Good Friday, Hari Raya Haji (Monday) and National Day (Monday). Taking Friday 21 May after Vesak Day (Thursday 20 May) gives a four-day weekend, as does taking Friday 29 October after Deepavali. See the long weekends 2027 planner for all the bridge days.
